Data Enhanced Investigations for Climate Change Education (DICCE) Basic Climate Data Portal

This Giovanni data portal provides fundamental climate data variables from NASA satellite observations and related NASA climate investigations

This Giovanni interface is intended to provide a introductory learning environment about global, regional, and local climate change for the use of educators and students. The data sets in the DICCE-G Basic Portal have been selected for relevance and comprehension, allowing the creation of local climate change investigation modules and expansion of these modules to the context of global climate change.

For more information and resources, go to the DICCE Resource Page, which includes guides to time-series trend interpretation. For specific questions and problems, contact the Giovanni Help Desk. (Note that the Help Desk is responsive to queries during normal work week hours, approximately 9 AM - 5 PM EST/EDT. Off-hour queries are normally answered in one working day.)

Select:
Vertical Profile
Select a vertical profile range. The range selection is disabled unless a qualifying parameter is selected. In order to enable this option (and populate the list with values), select a 3D parameter. 3D parameters have at least three dimensions and are labeled with a '(3D)' in the 'Parameters' section.
NOTE:  Selected 3D parameters must have the same 3rd dimension (e.g., pressure, altitude, wavelength, etc.) units in order to enable the vertical level menu.
